Baggage Information

Please note that additional baggage restrictions may be imposed at the airport without prior notice.

Security Screening

All bags, both carry-on and checked luggage, are screened out of Toronto City Centre Airport.

Some luggage may require additional screening by authorized security screeners.

Passengers departing from a domestic destination will be contacted by security to be present during the inspection of checked baggage. Guests departing from a US destination will not be contacted for secondary inspections of checked baggage.

Wrapped packages may be opened for inspection when brought as carry-on luggage.

Lap top computers and other electronic devices will need to be removed from their carrying case at the security scanning checkpoint.

Transport Canada pre-boarding security scanning prohibits passengers from taking certain items on board an aircraft. Liquids and gels in amounts smaller than 100mL may be taken on board the aircraft, in carry on baggage, provided they are placed in a clear and re-sealable plastic bag and the contents are in the original packing.

Other items are restricted on board an aircraft. For more information on these and other Government of Canada security requirements please go to www.tc.gc.ca or www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca or phone 1-888-294-2202.
