TORONTO, August 24, 2006 – Canada’s newest and most stylish airline will unveil its designer company uniforms today at an exclusive event in Toronto. The collection, designed by Toronto- and New York-based label Pink Tartan, evokes the glamour and style of the early days of commercial flying. The line is comprised of a full assortment of apparel, including pillbox hats, classic trench coats and shift dresses. Pilots, flight attendants and customer service representatives will each be outfitted with appropriate pieces.
“We wanted a design partner that understood the Porter brand and could portray the style and sophistication that will be carried through the entire travel experience,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “Pink Tartan has exceeded these expectations and our employees will be proud to wear these uniforms and represent Porter as brand ambassadors.”.
Pink Tartan has created a look for Porter that embodies its philosophy of flying refined, bringing back adventure and glamour to an often tedious mode of transportation. High-quality fabrics pair with clean lines to convey a modern sensibility.

The fabric, cut, styling and functionality of each piece, even down to the pill box hat, will let people know that they are traveling in style with Porter Airlines.”
The final designs were produced in collaboration with Porter and its branding partner, Winkreative.
