How does Porter’s fare structure work?
Porter offers 3 fare classes: Freedom, Flexible and Firm. Each fare type provides an array of options including complimentary changes and cancellations, advance seat selection and same-day changes at the airport based on the selected fare. For detailed information, visit fare structure
Will I receive a paper ticket?
Porter does not issue paper tickets. A confirmation number will be sent to you via email or provided over the phone. Passengers must present proper identification at the airport to board their flight.
How do I book my child as an unaccompanied minor?
To book travel for an unaccompanied minor, please phone the Porter Contact Centre at 1(888) 619-8622. A security fee of $50 CAD/USD, plus tax, each way is applied to the fare booked.
How do I change or cancel my flight?
Changes and cancellations can be made online or through the Porter Contact Centre at 1(888) 619-8622. Same day changes can also be made at the airport. Detailed information on changes and cancellations is available under fare structure
How do I make a group booking?
Group bookings are available for groups of 10 passengers or more. To book your group or obtain a quote, please phone the Porter Contact Centre at 1(888) 619-8622.
Does Porter offer bereavement fares?
Porter does not offer bereavement fares.
Does Porter offer Charter flights?
Porter aircraft are available for charter. Please contact charters@flyporter.com for inquiries.
What is Porter’s baggage policy?
Each passenger may carry-on one standard item measuring no more than 55 x 40 x 23 cm (22 x 16 x 10 inches), plus one personal article measuring no more than 33 x 43 x 16 cm (13 x 17 x 6 inches). Each such item can weigh no more than 9 kg (20 lbs). For checked baggage, a total of two (2) pieces is allowed for a combined weight of 23 kg (50 lbs). The weight of baggage is combinable for passengers booked on the same itinerary. No single piece may weigh more than 32 kg (70 lbs). Seasonal baggage policies may be enforced on certain routes during peak travel periods. Please refer to our Baggage Information page for detailed information.
Can I travel with my pet on Porter?
Porter Airlines does not allow pets in-flight either in the cargo hold or cabin. Service animals for special needs passengers are permitted providing the passenger has a service dog license. Please phone the Porter Contact Centre to make service dog arrangements.
Can I travel with sporting equipment?
Sporting equipment is permitted and will be subject to excess luggage fees where applicable (excess weight over 23 kg/50 lbs and/or more than 2 pieces of checked luggage). Any excess weight (above 23 kg/50 lbs) will be charged at a rate of $5 CAD/USD per kg. An extra baggage charge will be collected for any baggage in excess of the 2 pieces allowed. The fee applied is $25 CAD/USD per additional item.
Limited liability release tags (LRT) must be completed and signed by the passenger for all sporting equipment. Signed LRTs are valid on round trip flights with Porter Airlines.

What are Porter’s identification requirements?
To board a flight, all domestic passengers are required to present one piece of valid government-issued photo ID that shows name, date of birth and gender, such as a driver's license or a passport. Passengers may also present two pieces of valid government-issued non-photo ID, at least one of which shows name, date of birth and gender, such as a birth certificate. All passengers travelling to and from the United States are required to present a valid passport. Citizens of countries other than Canada and the United States should contact their consulate or embassy for boarding requirements. Proof of onward or return travel may be required at check-in. How far in advance should I arrive at the airport?
Porter recommends that passengers allow sufficient time for getting to the airport, through check-in and security, and to the gate. Domestic flights are available for check-in online 24 hours prior to departure. Online check-in is not available for International passengers. Arrival, check-in and boarding times depend on the originating airport as outlined below:

Where do I clear Customs and Immigration?
All passengers travelling to the United States from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport are required to clear US Customs and Immigration upon arrival in the United States. Customs pre-clearance is not available at Toronto City Airport.
All passengers travelling to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport from the United States are required to clear Canadian Customs and Immigration upon arrival at Toronto City Airport.
Can I reserve my seat in advance?
Seat selection is available when booking online or through the Porter Call Centre. In Freedom Class and Flexible Class, advance seat selection is complimentary. In Firm Class, advanced seat selection is available for $15 CAD/USD per direction, plus applicable taxes.
Porter offers passengers complimentary snacks in-flight. Unfortunately, we do not accept meal requests.
When do I receive my VIPorter package?
A membership package, including membership card, will be sent in the mail after your first eligible flight as a VIPorter member.
