Newark's 3 terminals are linked by an Airtrain system giving travellers easy access to all departure and arrival areas. The Airtrain is also a direct link to Newark International train station, where Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains can be boarded for Penn Station. Trains to and from Penn Station depart approximately every few minutes, and the point-to-point travel time is a brisk 25 minutes.
Gaining access to this quick and reliable system could not be easier. Before boarding the Airtrain check the display monitor (adjacent to the Airtrain entrance) for NJ Transit and Amtrak departure times. Penn Station, a major transportation hub located in midtown Manhattan, offers multiple connections to New York's subway, train and bus networks.
