Summer sun and winter fun await, with a flight from downtown Toronto to Mont-Tremblant.
The highest peak in the Laurentian Mountains, Mont-Tremblant is known for its skiing and snowboarding. However, there’s more to do in the bustling village beyond just hitting the slopes. Along the shores of Lac Mercier, you’ll find cozy cafés, restaurants, B&B’s and boutiques.
Winter in Tremblant offers a multitude of things to do such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding. If you want to see more of the scenery, head over to the P’tit Train Du Nord trail. Explore the area on cross-country skis or skate across the frozen lake.
During warmer months, take advantage of the scenic landscape and cycle along the P’tit Train Du Nord bike trail to Lac Mercier where you can relax on sandy beaches. Take a lift 2,871 feet up, to look out at the Laurentians. If you’re an early riser, the view at sunrise is spectacular.
Unwind after a day of activity and head to the pedestrian village where some of the best places to shop in Mont-Tremblant are situated. The area is closed off to vehicles, leaving the cobblestone streets solely to shoppers and browsers. Saunter through the thoroughfare in the upper village and browse galleries and shops belonging to local artisans. Follow the cobblestone path down to the lower village, known as Vieux Tremblant to hang with the locals, dine at more restaurants, relax in cafés, and hang at the most charming bars.
Downtown is the city’s central gathering place for tourists and residents alike. You’ll find Mont-Tremblant’s best restaurants, artisan boutiques, and park spaces in this cozy neighbourhood.
Take a trip to Mont-Tremblant from Toronto and experience downtown’s unique vibe, stunning scenery, and architectural heritage. Get ready for some excitement and race down the slopes at the snow-tubing centre, and then work up an appetite at one of Tremblant’s renowned restaurants.
The main street, Rue de Saint-Jovite, is lined with historic homes, antique shops, and charming sidewalk cafés. Grab your camera and capture this scenic landscape in the heart of Mont-Tremblant. Rue de Saint-Jovite is also home to Petit Hameau, a pedestrian sector which offers goods from Québec artisans, organic teas, jewellery, gourmet gifts and plenty more.
Downtown also provides direct access to the P’tit Train du Nord bike path. Cycle alongside the path and catch spectacular views of the Laurentians that will leave you in awe.
Before heading back to Toronto, visit the Salle Alphonse-Desjardins. This facility offers year-round exhibitions, featuring the works of local artists and craftsmen. Peruse the gallery, take in the artwork lining the walls, and return to Toronto with your creative juices flowing.
Between the slopes of the resort and the streets of downtown, you’ll find the Village.
Whether you travel to Mont-Tremblant in the summer or winter, the shores of Lac Mercier are always busy. One of the best attractions in the Village, swimmers and skaters alike take to the lake. Even if you don’t get on (or in) Lac Mercier, the scenic beach is perfect for a walk.
If you need to warm up or cool off, the restaurants and cafés along the neighbourhood’s main street are the perfect solution. With locally owned boutiques, pubs, antique shops and bakeries throughout the Village, there’s plenty to peruse.
For an artistic addition to your trip, visit the Village Church, a converted cultural events venue. At the Village’s former train station, more art awaits.
