Prices shown are subject to change without notice. When you book online, all prices will be displayed in CAD or USD, depending on the country edition you are using. Service options added to an existing booking online, at the kiosk or through the Call Centre and will be charged in booking currency. Fees collected at the airport counter will be charged in local currency.

Refunds, changes and cancellations

Voluntary changes to an itinerary may require the payment of additional fees and fare upgrades. If a passenger is travelling on a non-refundable ticket, Porter will be unable to make exceptions in the event of an unexpected trip cancellation or medical emergency. We recommend the purchase of travel insurance.

Refund and flight change options

Basic Standard Flexible Freedom

Refund option

The Refund Option entitles customers to receive a full refund for their booking upon cancellation. The refund is issued in the original form of payment and includes the fare, add-ons and all taxes and surcharges, subject to below terms and conditions.

Terms and conditions:

  • The Refund Option is available for purchase through flyporter.com or the Porter Call Centre.
  • It can be added to your flight reservation for a fee at the time of booking or within 24 hours of flight purchase through My Bookings or through the Porter Call Centre. The option is not available for purchase for bookings made less than 48 hours prior to departure.
  • It is available for confirmed Porter reservations, booked in Basic, Standard or Flexible fare.
  • It is not available for purchase for Porter Escapes packages, Porter Pass purchases or for interline bookings where one or more flights are operated by a partner airline.
  • The Refund Option fee applies to the entire booking and is charged per passenger. It must be purchased for all passengers on the reservation at the same time.
  • To be eligible for a refund, the booking must be cancelled by the customer a minimum of 24 hours before scheduled departure time of the first leg of the departing journey.
  • Refund amount will include the air fare, airline surcharges and government taxes and fees and any ancillary purchased,but will exclude fees associated with the Refund Option. Refund Option fees are non-refundable outside of the 24 hour window after purchase.
  • Refunds will be provided in the original form of payment.
    • Credit card refund will be issued for bookings paid using a credit card.
    • Flight credit will be issued for bookings purchased with a flight credit.
    • Porter Passes or Porter electronic vouchers used as payment on the initial booking will be reinstated with their original date of expiration upon flight cancellation. Porter voucher or Porter Pass terms and conditions will apply.
    • When cancelling a VIPorter redemption booking, your points will automatically be re-deposited into your account.
  • For online cancellations, the refund will be processed automatically with the following exceptions:
    • Bookings paid for using multiple forms of payment.
    • Bookings where credit card used for purchase has since expired.
    • Bookings paid for with PayPal.
    • Partial cancellations where only one part of the booking is being cancelled.
  • To request a refund for a booking not eligible for an online refund, please complete the online Refund Request Form or contact the Porter Call Centre at 1-888-619-8622.
  • Refunds may take up to 14 business days to be processed and reflect in your account.
  • To cancel a booking made via one of our travel agency partners and request a refund, please contact them directly.

Flight change option

The Flight Change Option allows customers to change or cancel their itinerary without paying any change or cancellation fees, regardless of the fare class purchased. Customers are still responsible for any difference in cost between the original itinerary and the new itinerary. While an unlimited number of changes are permitted, the booking continues to be non-refundable (vouchers redeemable for future travel will be provided for cancelled itineraries).

  • The Flight Change Option is available for purchase during initial booking at flyporter.com or can be added to existing bookings through My Bookings or through the Porter Call Centre within 24 hours of flight purchase.
  • The Flight Change Option is available for confirmed Porter bookings, booked in Basic, Standard or Flexible fare. The option is not available for purchase for bookings made within 48 hours of departure of the first leg of the journey.

The credit will be redeemable for future travel on Porter within one year from the date of original booking.

Flight change + refund option

The Flight Change Plus Refund Option allows you to change or cancel your itinerary without paying any change fees and, in the case of cancellation, to receive a full refund for your booking. When changing your itinerary, you are still responsible for any difference in cost between the original itinerary and the new itinerary. The following terms and conditions apply:

  • The cost for transporting your pet in the cabin is $50 plus applicable taxes ($50 - $57.50 CAD/USD) per pet, per direction.
  • A small pet may travel with you in the aircraft cabin. Pet travel is restricted to house cats and small dogs that can comfortably manoeuvre inside an approved carrier during flight. For operational and comfort reasons, Porter limits the number of pet carriers allowed in the cabin to two at any one time.
  • A maximum of one carrier per passenger is allowed, and only one pet is permitted in a carrier.
  • No pets are permitted in the baggage compartment of any Porter flight.
  • To avoid disappointment, you should reserve space for your pet at the time of booking or contact the Porter Call Centre at 1-888-619-8622 as early as possible.
  • Please note, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required.

  • Unaccompanied minor service is mandatory for children between the ages of 8 and 12 (less a day), if travelling alone.
  • Unaccompanied minor service is not offered for children under the age of 8. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult 16 years of age or older.
  • Travel must be on Porter direct flights only.

    The Refund Option entitles customers to receive a full refund for their booking upon cancellation. The refund is issued in the original form of payment and includes the fare, add-ons and all taxes and surcharges, subject to below terms and conditions.

    • The Refund Option is available for purchase through flyporter.com or the Porter Call Centre.
    • It can be added to your flight reservation for a fee at the time of booking or within 24 hours of flight purchase through My Bookings or through the Porter Call Centre. The option is not available for purchase for bookings made less than 48 hours prior to departure.
    • It is available for confirmed Porter reservations, booked in Basic, Standard or Flexible fare.
    • It is not available for purchase for Porter Escapes packages, Porter Pass purchases or for interline bookings where one or more flights are operated by a partner airline.
    • The Refund Option fee applies to the entire booking and is charged per passenger. It must be purchased for all passengers on the reservation at the same time.
    • To be eligible for a refund, the booking must be cancelled by the customer a minimum of 24 hours before scheduled departure time of the first leg of the departing journey.

Refunds, changes and cancellations

Voluntary changes to an itinerary may require the payment of additional fees and fare upgrades. If a passenger is travelling on a non-refundable ticket, Porter will be unable to make exceptions in the event of an unexpected trip cancellation or medical emergency. We recommend the purchase of travel insurance.

    • All travel using applied credits must be completed within 12 months of original booking.
    • Bookings using travel credits must be in the name of the owner of the credit.
    • Travel credits may be transferred to another traveller, while maintaining the original expiration date.
    • Basic fare bookings are not eligible for changes or cancellations.
    • No-shows are not permitted, and result in the forfeit of the full amount of the fare at departure time.

    • PorterReserve seats are included with Navigate and Ultimate fares.
    • PorterReserve seats provide extra legroom and are located at the very front of the plane. Row 1, seats A/B; and row 2, seats A/B/C/D on the Dash 8-400 aircraft and rows 1-4 on the E195-E2 aircraft.

Pet in cabin

  • Pet in cabin fee

    View details
    • The cost for transporting your pet in the cabin is $50 plus applicable taxes ($50 - $57.50 CAD/USD) per pet, per direction.
    • A small pet may travel with you in the aircraft cabin. Pet travel is restricted to house cats and small dogs that can comfortably manoeuvre inside an approved carrier during flight. For operational and comfort reasons, Porter limits the number of pet carriers allowed in the cabin to two at any one time.
    • A maximum of one carrier per passenger is allowed, and only one pet is permitted in a carrier.
    • No pets are permitted in the baggage compartment of any Porter flight.
    • To avoid disappointment, you should reserve space for your pet at the time of booking or contact the Porter Call Centre at 1-888-619-8622 as early as possible.
    • Please note, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required.

Unaccompanied minors

  • Unaccompanied minors fee

    • A service fee of $100 plus applicable taxes ($100 - $115 CAD/USD) applies per child, per direction, regardless of fare type.
    • Unaccompanied minor service is mandatory for children between the ages of 8 and 12 (less a day), if travelling alone.
    • Unaccompanied minor service is not offered for children under the age of 8. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult 16 years of age or older.
    • Travel must be on Porter direct flights only.
    • To book travel for an unaccompanied minor, please contact the Porter Call Centre at 1-888-619-8622.
