NEXUS and Global Entry

Your NEXUS/Global Entry card lets you beat the customs and security queues.

Canadian and US citizens travelling between US and Canada must still carry a valid passport even when travelling with a Nexus card.

Arrival at US destinations

Pre-approved travellers can use the NEXUS/ Global entry kiosks when arriving at the following airports:

  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
  • Chicago Midway (MDW)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
  • Orlando-Melbourne International Airport (MLB)
  • Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Arrival at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

When arriving at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, pre-approved travellers can use the Nexus kiosks with iris recognition scanning.

Departure from Canadian destinations

When departing Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Saint John’s or Moncton, pre-approved travellers can benefit from designated NEXUS security lanes in order to bypass any lineups and expedite the screening process.

Identification for travel between Canada and the US

You must carry a valid passport for all visits abroad, including travel between Canada and the United States. The passport is the only universally-accepted travel and identification document for international travel.

If you do not have the required documents, you may be delayed or unable to board the plane. What you need will depend on where you are from, how you are travelling, and what documents you are travelling with. Consult entry requirements by country.
