Each airline has their own terms and conditions of carriage that apply to the transportation of passengers and baggage, including seating, check-in times and requirements, in-flight services, special assistance and other aspects of your travel.
When connecting to or from any other airline, including interline flights, you are responsible for making independent arrangements directly with the other airline and notifying them of any specific travel needs.
What does it mean for me if I've purchased a codeshare or interline flight?
When you check in with one of our codeshare or interline partners sold on flyporter.com, you may see differences in checked baggage fees as well as in optional service and other charges.
Each airline also has its own terms and conditions of carriage. That's why it's important to familiarize yourself with the operating carrier's terms and conditions, including those regarding:
How do I know if my flight is a codeshare flight?
Codeshare is a type of shared flight — one airline operates the flight, while other airlines may sell seats on the flight under their own airline code.
For example, when you're selecting flights for purchase on flyporter.com, codeshare flights will bear Porter’s flight designator code (PD) and right next to it you will see an 'Operated by' note that indicates which carrier is operating the flight.
When booking via one of our code-share partners, Porter may be listed as the operating carrier that same way.
After your booking is confirmed, your electronic itinerary/booking confirmation email also provides the name of the carrier operating the flight (see the line ‘Operated by’).
How can I recognize an interline flight?
When you're selecting flights for purchase on flyporter.com, an ‘Operated by’ appears next to all flights which are operated by either an interline or codeshare partner. This note indicates which carrier is operating the flight.
In addition, all interline fights carry the operating airlines’ designator code. For example, if an interline flight is operated by JetBlue, on the flight selection page, we will display the other airline’s designator code - in this case, the flight number will start with ‘B6’, which represents JetBlue.
When you finalize your booking, your electronic itinerary/booking confirmation email will also provide the name of the carrier operating the flight (see the line ‘Operated by’).
Check in online up to 24 hours before your flight. It's fast and easy!
