Sustainability at Porter

Balancing the needs of our people, our business, and our planet

Our approach

Porter is committed to sustainability by integrating responsible practices across its operations, from ethical sourcing and emissions management to diversity in our workforce and community engagement.

We use Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approaches to build a sustainable future and deliver long-term value. Porter's approach to ESG prioritizes financial resilience, enhancing the travel experience for our community, investing in new technologies, and supporting industry efforts to drive progress on environmental initiatives.

People

Porter is committed both to the communities in which we operate and to our team members who represent us. Efforts to build stronger connections within our team, communities, and industry partners allow us to put our sustainability principles into practice.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At Porter, team members are recognized for their passion in enhancing the passenger experience, embodying the company’s values, and getting everyone home safely.

We take the widest possible view of employment diversity, equity, and inclusion. Porter’s approach goes beyond abilities, age, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity and expression, to create a safe and welcoming environment.

Women in aviation

Porter leads the way in promoting gender diversity among pilots. With 10% of our pilots being female, we significantly exceed the industry average of 3.6%–4%.

Through career advancement programs and initiatives like Women Soar at Porter, we create opportunities for women across all areas of aviation, building diverse talent pipelines and striving to be the airline of choice for women.
