Only one credit card can be used to book a reservation on flyporter.com, but you can use multiple gift cards and other forms of payment in combination with your credit card payment.

For online bookings made outside of Canada or the U.S., credit cards will be charged in either Canadian or U.S. currency. Porter does not have the ability to charge credit cards in any other foreign currency.

Note: to safeguard against credit/debit card fraud, the purchaser may have to show us the credit/debit card along with a valid photo ID at an airport counter.

Prepaid credit cards may be used to pay for Porter flights. We recommend that you register your prepaid credit card to enable the card to work on flyporter.com. Information on how to register the card is usually listed on the back of the card or the packaging the card came in. Some prepaid credit cards may not be accepted.

Please note, if you are booking online, you can only use one credit card payment, so if your prepaid credit card balance is less than the amount of your purchase, you will not be able to complete your purchase online without adding another valid form of payment. Our Call Centre would be happy to assist you with your purchase if you would like to use more than one prepaid credit card.

Porter gift cards can be used to purchase flights (including base fare, fees and taxes) and other related services such as baggage, bundles and seats. They can also be redeemed towards a Porter Pass purchase, however, they cannot be redeemed for group travel of 10 or more passengers.

To use a Porter gift card on flyporter.com, select the ‘’Gift card’’ option on the Payment page and enter the associated gift card number and PIN. If the purchase price is greater than the value of the gift card, the difference may be paid with another valid form of payment.

Any unused amount on your gift card will remain available until the balance is used up; Porter gift cards never expire.

Gift certificates can be redeemed to purchase air travel (including base fare, fees and taxes) and related ancillary services on any flight operated by Porter Airlines. Gift Certificate confirmation number and recipient’s last name (as printed on the certificate) are required for redemption.

To redeem online, select the ‘Gift Certificate’ option on the Payment page to apply the value to your booking. If the purchase price is greater than the value of the Gift Certificate(s), the difference may be paid with an additional valid form of payment. Gift Certificates automatically retain any unused balances, so any unused amount can be used towards the purchase of additional tickets/services. Porter Gift Certificates are fully transferable until redeemed.

Travel credits can be applied towards a new flight reservation booked on flyporter.com or through the Call Centre. They can be used towards airfare and ancillaries, as well as any associated fees, taxes and surcharges. Travel credits cannot be used for Porter Escapes flight and hotel packages.

Travel credits are valid for 12 months from the original date of booking. Travel booked using the applied credits must be completed before the credit expires. Travel credits cannot be extended or reissued and do not have any cash value if not applied towards a Porter Airlines flight.

Travel credits are fully transferable and can be used multiple times until the full value of the credit has been used. If you have more than one valid travel credit, you can combine them when booking your next trip.

How to rebook using a travel credit

It is simple to redeem your Porter credit on flyporter.com in a few easy steps. Select the flights you’d like to purchase and follow the booking flow steps. On the Review and Pay page confirm your selections one final time and then continue to Payment. In the Redeem section, choose to add a credit to your booking.

Reservation credit

If your credit is stored under your original booking confirmation, choose the Reservation Credit option and enter the confirmation number of your cancelled trip to confirm the value of your credit and apply it to your new booking. You will see the price calculation on the right side accounting for your travel credit, so you know exactly how much you will be charged when you complete your purchase.

Account credit

If you had a VIPorter number associated with your booking when your flight was cancelled, your credit is stored under your VIPorter account number. You will need to log into your account before starting your booking. As long as there is any credit balance remaining in your account, you will be able to see and select the Account Credit option in the Redeem section of the Payment page.

If your credit is less than the amount owing, you can use an alternate form of payment for any remaining balance. If you need more help with rebooking, please contact our Call Centre at 1 888 619-8622.

If your original reservation was booked through a third-party

If your booking was made through a travel agent or an online travel site other than flyporter.com, please contact your travel agency for rebooking assistance as the credit rules may differ.

Electronic vouchers issued as compensation for a flight delay are redeemable online toward the purchase of a new flight. They are applicable to base fare only and not any fees or taxes. Travel must be booked and completed before the voucher expiration date. The voucher can be applied on the Payment page at the end of your booking. All vouchers are issued in Canadian dollars; applicable exchange fees for US dollar transactions will be applied at payment.

Vouchers are for one-time use only and any residual amount will be forfeited.

Oxford Gift Cards are accepted for online purchases and are treated as prepaid credit cards. So, when paying for your online transaction, you will need to enter your gift card in the credit card field on the Payment page.
