Go where the grass is greener

Top-notch ocean front hotels and 60 miles of white sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean await. Book a flight to Myrtle Beach and get ready to dive into a perfect family beach vacation.

You’ll have a grand time on this stretch of beach known as South Carolina’s Grand Strand. Walk along the Boardwalk and Promenade, where you’ll find many Myrtle Beach attractions including amusement park rides, carnival style attractions, floating casinos, a 187-foot SkyWheel and much more.

When you’re not laying out in the sun or making a splash in the Atlantic, be sure to discover other parts of Myrtle Beach by bike. The Waccamaw Neck Bikeway offers 12 miles of hiking and biking trails from Murrells Inlet to Huntington Beach State Park. Meanwhile, the East Coast Greenway is an impressive and growing trail that currently runs from Calais, Maine to Key West, Florida.

When it comes to leisure, Myrtle Beach is anything but par for the course. The area boasts over 100 regulation golf courses and over 50 miniature golf courses. With so much green to choose from, the whole family will have plenty of chances to get a hole in one.

If you’re in search of even more green space, Myrtle Beach gives shape to the world’s largest outdoor sculpture garden, Brookgreen Gardens. This must-see Myrtle Beach attraction spans 9,000 acres and houses over 550 American sculptures, nature trails, an aviary and a butterfly house.

Kids will love making a splash along the coastal beaches or at Myrtle Waves Water Park with over 30 water slides and a 700 gallon water volcano. Surf’s up at Waccamaw River, where you’ll find surfing lessons or another way to test your balance with stand up paddle boarding. Banana boat rides and boogie boarding also make for tons of family fun.

When it comes to where to eat in Myrtle Beach, the stars of the culinary scene are its critically acclaimed restaurants with fresh and sumptuous seafood. This picturesque resort town also serves up all kinds of international cuisine and caters to all tastebuds.

Bring a piece of Myrtle Beach home with the souvenir shops along the Boardwalk and Promenade. Or, simply satisfy your inner shopaholic by hunting for the best deals at factory outlet stores and malls.

Book a flight to Myrtle Beach for the whole family and get started on your perfect beach vacation.

Myrtle Beach State Park

Uncover buried treasures and family adventures

Set up camp or make a day trip visit to Myrtle Beach State Park. Opened in 1936, this state park and wildlife reserve has outdoor activities and events for the whole family.

Myrtle Beach State Park is home to maritime forests, dunes and beautiful, swaying sea oats - a type of tall grass with strong roots that help hold the beach together. Along with its mile long beach, the park also has a wild side. You may spot some loggerhead sea turtles, bald eagles, neo-tropical migrant birds, or vibrant wildflowers during your stay.

Discover what else the park has to offer via bike trails and two easy hiking trails. The Sculptured Oak Trail gives visitors a glimpse into Myrtle Beach’s natural history with one of the last remaining maritime forests in the area.

Put your game face on and find your way through the park and maritime forest with exciting \ scavenger hunts and scavenger hunt bingo. These strictly observational hunts, organized by the park, allow visitors to discover the park’s unique features and wildlife.

On the beach, you can learn about sea turtle conservation, stroll along the boardwalk, or uncover some buried treasure.

Book a flight to Myrtle Beach and plan an eco adventure excursion in between sunbathing sessions and the bright lights of the Boardwalk and Promenade.

× Close Bulls Island

Bulls Island

A wild island getaway

Grab adventure by the horns with a day trip to Bulls Island. Established as a wildlife refuge in 1932 in Charleston County, Bulls Island is a popular eco tourist attraction less than 2 hours from Myrtle Beach.

The Bulls Island Beach Drop brings visitors directly to what feels like a private beach, completely secluded and unspoiled. The island’s beaches are perfect for swimming, shelling and bird watching.

The most popular way to get to the island itself is via the Coastal Expeditions Ferry. Depart from Garris Landing for a 30-minute ferry ride with expert guides, detailed maps and a comprehensive history of the area. Keep an eye out for sea turtles, bottlenose dolphins and more along the way.

Charge into Bulls Island with 7 miles of sandy beaches and 16 miles of trails. Alligator Alley, Boneyard Beach and Turkey Walk Trail are just a few of the island’s other awaiting attractions.

With around 293 species cawing and cooing this island home, you’re likely to spot Black Skimmers (distinct black and white birds with bright orange beaks) and many of their flying feathered friends. Observatory platforms are prime wildlife watching spots. Bring along a pair of binoculars and survey the island’s natural beauty from these lookout points.

Visitors from all over marvel at the haunting beauty of Boneyard Beach. This fascinating and eye-catching natural wonder is something you have to see with your own eyes.

There are several unique ways to explore this undeveloped wilderness. Kayak to the island, embark on the Cape Romain Lighthouse Tour, or set sail with the Sunrise Expedition to see how the early bird gets the best photos. You can even plan a two-night stay at Dominick House where you’ll be treated to locally sourced meals and multiple guided eco tours around the island.

Book a flight to Myrtle Beach and try this unique holiday trip in the sun.
