Porter is committed to providing an accessible online environment for all visitors to our website, the same way we are committed to making air travel accessible to all of our passengers.
We are actively working on improvements in order to increase our website’s accessibility and usability while making flyporter.com user-friendly for the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. Our goal is to meet or exceed the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. (AA) as the technical standard for information and services on our website.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on fulfilling this commitment.
Here are some of the principles we are using to make our website easier for anyone to use:
As part of our development process and ongoing website maintenance, the Porter team tests flyporter.com using several different assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers and speech recognition software. Our team also uses tools that validate our HTML against W3C standards and analyse colour contrast for compliance to ensure the most optimal experience for all visitors.
In addition, Porter conducts unmoderated, remote accessibility testing with end users. Participants are recruited from Canada and the United States and use their own computers and assistive technology set-ups. User testing findings are used to guide our efforts to improve the user experience specifically for those using assistive devices.
We are committed to meeting the communication needs of persons with disabilities.
Upon request, we will provide or arrange for publicly-available information in accessible formats and/or with communication supports for persons with disabilities in a timely manner, taking into account the person's accessibility needs due to disability, and at a cost that is no more than the regular cost charged to other persons. We may consult with the person to determine the suitability of the accessible format or communication support.
Passengers who wish to obtain travel information in an alternative format can do so by telephone or mail.
We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of flyporter.com up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you find any accessibility barriers that affect or prevent your use and enjoyment of our website, please complete our Feedback form
Where possible, a full response will be given immediately. Some complaints, suggestions or recommendations may, however, require more time and effort to address. Normally, a full response and explanation will be given within 30 days or as soon as reasonably possible. We will ensure that any response provided is in a format that is accessible to the complainant.
