Mountains of fun

Hit the slopes or soak up the sun, with flights from Boston to Mont-Tremblant.

With both winter and summer activities, Mont-Tremblant is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. Whether the hills of Mont-Tremblant are white with snow or green with trees, this mountain village hosts a slew of slopeside activities.

During the winter, Mont-Tremblant is covered in snow as far as the eye can ski. At the Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort, almost 80 km of downhill ski routes trace through the mountainside. Hosting some of the most sought after skiing in the Laurentian Mountains, Mont-Tremblant is a premiere downhill destination.

Skip the chairlift for some of Mont-Tremblant’s other cold-weather activities. Dash through the snow on cross-country skis or snowshoes on the city’s trails and in nearby nature parks. Sit back and relax on a sleigh ride, or pick up the pace of the pack with dog-sledding. For faster fun, put the pedal to the powder on a snowmobile.

When the snow melts, Mont-Tremblant’s lakes become a hotbed of outdoor fun. If you’re visiting from Boston during the summer, swimming, sailing, and windsurfing should be on your itinerary. Choose from Lac Moore, Lac Mercier, and Lac Tremblant to get some sand between your toes.

After catching some rays on the beach, catch Le P’tit Train du Nord trail for some of the city’s best cycling. This former railway is now the site of a 200 km bicycling path. Winding through the Laurentian Mountains, this trail lined with lush trees makes for a scenic cycling experience.

Mont-Tremblant is more than just an outdoor oasis. Cultural activities like the Mont-Tremblant International Blues Festival and the Stone Village Church art gallery, add colour to the city.

Before flying back to Boston, explore Mont-Tremblant’s arts offerings to gain a new perspective on this slopeside city.

Parc National du Mont-Tremblant

All-season scenery

Explore the best of Québec’s wilderness during your trip from Boston, with a visit to the Parc National du Mont-Tremblant.

The largest park in Québec, this national park covers 1,510sq km. Within this vast natural reserve, animals of all kinds make their homes. Pack a pair of binoculars and be on the lookout for creatures great and small, ranging from mighty moose to chattering red squirrels.

Get closer to nature along the park’s trail system, which spans over 80 km. Featuring everything from easy strolls to tough treks, these trails are your path to hiking paradise. For something really challenging, pick up a harness and helmet to take the Via Ferrata du Diable Trail. Climb the nearly vertical rock faces on a series of narrow ledges, wire walkways, and wooden beams to reach a spectacular view of the Rivière du Diable, from 200 metres up.

With six large rivers (including the Rivière du Diable) and hundreds of streams and lakes, Parc National du Mont-Tremblant offers amazing aquatic activities. Sit back in a pedal boat, or stand up on a paddleboard from the park’s rental facilities. With kayaks and canoes also available, you can easily pick up a paddle and go. Go without the gear to take a dip in Crémaillère Beach and Lac-Provost Beach.

When the water freezes, the park’s winter activities start to heat up. Snowshoe through the 48 km trail system, spread across the Diable and Pimbina sections of the park. In the Diable, you can glide through 43 km of groomed cross-country trails. Stay toasty as you traverse the wilderness, with six warming huts along the way. For the wildest winter activity, try a bit of backcountry skiing along the park’s 112 km of unpacked paths.

Whether you visit from Boston in the summer or winter, you can count on having a great Canadian outdoor experience in Parc National du Mont-Tremblant.
