Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses as you wind down your pace to really enjoy the park. At the top of the park, there is a peaceful waterfowl pond, a children’s playground, and a disc golf course.
Odell Lodge is there too. It features a large meeting room with a fireplace and is equipped with a kitchen. Open since 1967, Odell lodge is available to rent by the hour. Come to this peaceful part of the park to admire the beauty.
Tree huggers will definitely enjoy the 2.8 km Arboretum Trail that winds through the forested area. There are 41 individual tree species growing there, ready for you to count (and hug). Choose your trail and spot your bird – many species of birds call this haven home too.

Also found in the museum is the famous 42-pound frog named Coleman. Named after his owner Fred Coleman, he was adopted from Killarney Lake and fed on bugs, cornmeal and whiskey until he grew to the size of a dog. He is now stuffed for your visual pleasure in the museum.
Before you head back to Toronto, make sure to visit the Barracks Fine Craft Shops located in a three-storey stone and wooden structure built in 1827 for the British army. Here, you can pick out a few souvenirs to bring back with you to Toronto.

You can take the subway, GO Transit, PATH or UP Express to and from Union Station and then hop on the free shuttle bus service to get you to Porter as well.
